ABOUT MOLLY RAMASSINI (she/her)

Education and Experience:

Molly Ramassini, M.S., CCC-SLP is an experienced ASHA-certified and California state-licensed speech-language pathologist. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her master's degree from Florida State University. From there, she's had  7+ years experience working in private practices, non-profits, and in the public schools as a school-based provider.

Specialization:

Molly has extensive training and experience in working with:

  • Supporting Autistic clients' communication

  • Gestalt Language Processors

  • Receptive and expressive language

  • Executive functioning

Beliefs:

Molly strongly believes:

  • "Kids do well if they can." -Ross Greene

  • Providers and caregivers should focus on a child's strengths instead of their deficits.

  • Children shouldn't be taught social skills for the sake of making society comfortable. Instead, their differences should be celebrated. They should be taught about their brain, their communication style (and the style of others), how to self-advocate for themselves, and how to live an authentic, happy life.

  • I do not "treat" Autism. I treat difficulties that arise from being Autistic in a neurotypical society.

  • Emotional and sensory regulation are key to successful communication.

  • Successful therapy can only happen if a child trusts their therapist and finds joy during a therapy session.

  • If a provider is working with Autistic children, they need to be listening to the Autistic community and Autistic voices.
